Zeinsmiter Comes to Life

Part 1

In the course of human nature there was a feeling of destruction bound to explode near the mountains of ZEINIANUS.

In ZEINIANUS lived a village of dwarves blessed by the fresh running water that used to pour from two different rivers. The families of dwarves used to grow all different kind of crops, these crops used to feed the whole village for months and months. At night the dwarves used to gather around the big fire and dance to the music of flutes and strings until the sun rise.

The ZEINITH family, one of the longest living families of the entire region, agreed that their most valuable tree should be putted to rest as its long and heavy branches were breaking the roof of the ZEINIK family's house every time there's a strong wind. It is only fair, Chief ZEINITH declared on a meeting they held. The entire village was organized by the families' Chiefs, placing the strongest dwarves at back of the handsaw and the rest of the dwarves at the front of the handsaw. The 'Tree of Wisdom', as it was known, had been there for centuries and even Chief ZEINIK felt something quite odd around his belly when the handsaw, the biggest handsaw he'd ever seen, started sliding from one side to the other. The village's entire strength was being placed upon the handsaw but it still wasn't strong enough to penetrate the tree's trunk. They could barely see a scratch after sliding the thing for two hours.

The families' Chiefs held another meeting on that same day and after a few hours trying to come up with a solution they felt frustrated. Chief Zeinik was the angriest of them all, kept screaming and demanding a solution from Chief Zeinith, and soon. The tree must come down, at once, the Owdear Storm is coming this way! Chief ZEINIER would say that this was a sign from the Gods, that if our strength couldn't put down a tree and if it's been there for so long, we should take it as a sign and just leave it alone. Chief ZEINIKUS offered his little shed to Chief Zeinik and his family to avoid the storm. You come and stay with us, when the storm is gone you can build your home somewhere else away from the tree. Chief Zeinik took a deep breathe and walked towards Chief Zeinikus planning to grab his throat when he was stopped by the other Chiefs. If you offer your poor little shed to my family again I'll bury you alive, you stupid dwarf! Chief Zeinith asked Chief Zeinik to think deeply on what he was demanding. Chief Zeinik, we've been trying to understand and solve your problem, but there are problems that weren't meant to be solved, my friend. We'd tried everything and everyone's strength in this task and it's merely... You haven't used everyone! An intruding child interrupted the Chief's private meeting to remind them they've forgot one family and one ZEINIANUS' prodigal child. The Chiefs haven't tried everyone! And the ZEINSMITER' family and their abnormal son?

Go away, child ZEINIWARD! You don't belong here. And child Zeiniward realised his big mouth and ran off, away from the Chiefs.

And the Zeinsmiter's family and their abnormal son?, asked Chief Zeinik.

But they are camped on the other side of the mountain. Is a two day trip. You don't have enough time, Chief Zeinik.

Chief Zeinith opened his arms demanding silence. Hear me, my dear dwarves. We mustn't call the Zeinsmiter's back. They were banished from this village for wandering the world. You all remember. So, how on this small world we could possibly call them back, sirs?

We don't need to call them back for good, Chief Zeinith. We use Prodigal Zeinsmitter, the elder son, to help us with the task, when he's done and the tree is down, they go back to the other side of the mountain.

Chief Zeinik, it's not that simple, friend. I'm positive they will refuse any favour we ask them.

And why should they help us? We banished sons from their own land.

Enough, dear Chiefs. The tree and the Zeinsmiter's will stay where they are. And that is that!

Chief Zeinik in a nervous breakdown grabbed Chief Zeinith's arm pulling him away from the other Chiefs.

You listen to me! I cannot move from that house! I have people, my people, living below me. You bring Prodigal Zeinsmiter here and you cut down that tree! Then I shall make you the richest man in all of ZEINIANUS.
